Structural Engineering design and project management services for replacement of copper cupola

Our Local Authority client required external superstructure repair and redecoration of Bexhill Rowing Club which included the refurbishment of the copper covered historic cupola and apron.

We prepared a Schedule of Repair Works with contract conditions, obtained tender quotations, acted as Contract Administrator and periodically inspected work in progress.  A crane was used to lift the original timber cupola allowing repair and recovering off site.  Brickwork repair and replacement was completed using lime mortar and specially made feature clay bricks with re-pointing to external elevation in original lime mix.
