Re build of collapsed boundary retaining wall

Our design and project management services were employed by two residential owners and a School to re-build a collapsed boundary retaining wall.  We prepared a Schedule of Rebuild Works with contract conditions, designed and detailed the new retaining wall, obtained a quotation from a preferred contractor, acted as Contract Administrator and periodically inspected work in progress.

The original wall was located near the top of an approximate 8m high steep slope causing access difficulty.  A swimming pool existed on the high side in close proximity within the garden of one of the residential properties.

Work was completed in consultation with the Local Authority Conservation officer. It was necessary to provide a new access ramp to the Sports field to allow access for plant and machinery.
